About KATS

The Kennett Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS Inc) is incorporated according to the laws of the State of Delaware as a non-profit corporation and is registered to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Internal Revenue Service has determined that KATS Inc is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to KATS Inc are deductible under section 170 of the code. KATS Inc is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. KATS Inc is also classified as a Public Charity under section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Code. Effective date of exemption: September 17th, 2001.

The KATS Inc Board of Directors consists of Gary Smith (Chairman), Betsy Warner (Vice-Chairman)Steve Warner (Treasurer), Diane Teig (Secretary), Caroline Smith, and Lisa Teixeira.

Ruth Taylor is an honorary board member.
